CLUB RULES & PRACTICE RULES

BUNBURY CITY KART CLUB INCORPORATED CLUB RULES
AS OF 28th JANUARY  2011 

1.2.87.  FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
Family membership covers parents or guardians and children up to the age of 17 years.  Fees paid after 17th birthday to be at senior rate.

2.2.87. DOGS
No dogs allowed at the track.

28.1.11. DRIVERS REGISTRATION
Drivers registration and scrutineering must be done by 12noon on day/night Saturday club days, and by 9am on Sunday club days.  Late entries will be placed rear of field for all heats.

10.2.87. DIRECTION OF CLUB DAYS
Subject to track conditions the direction of racing on club days will reverse monthly.

17.2.87. ENGINE MEASURING
Random engine measuring may apply at any race meeting.

21.2.92.  DRIVING AFTER RACE MEETINGS
At the completion of the race meeting, subject to committee approval, licenced and unlicenced drivers be allowed on the track at their own risk.
N.B. The onus on safety is the responsibility of all club members and in particular the person lending a kart.

22.2.87. PERPETUAL TROPHIES
Any member winning the same perpetual trophy for 3 consecutive years shall be presented with a replica trophy in recognition of that achievement.

27.3.89. CANTEEN
No children are allowed in the kitchen, canteen or bar.

28.2.92. LIFE BAN
Domenic Belcastro has been banned for life from the B.C.K.C. and its  premises.

28.1.11.ROSTERED DUTY
Drivers not fulfilling their duties, or failing to find someone else to do their duty for them themselves [i.e. not asking the secretary to find someone for them] will not be permitted to race until the duty is performed. Club secretary is to be notified of change of duties prior to race day.

28.1.11.    KEYS
Members can not loan non members their gate key.

28.1.11. CLUB DAY RACING PROCEDURE AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SYSTEM

  1. Championship points will accumulate from all club days throughout the year.  Drivers must have completed in the same class in at least 40% of club days conducted, to be eligible for championship placings.
  1. If a meeting is incomplete but over 3 completed heats have been run, driver points are tallied at completion of third heat and attending officials receive 867 points [3/4 of 1156].
  1. At completed club days, drivers points from all 4 heats are tallied and attending officials receive maximum points possible on the day.
  1. Officials entitled to points at club days are: Clerk of Course, Stewards, Scrutineers, Pit Marshall, Flaggie/Lights, Starter, Tower Staff, & Canteen Staff.
  1. Officials must be at the track by 11am on Saturday day/night meetings and by 8 am on Sunday meetings.
  1. Interchange of rostered duties can be made provided:

(a)  If a member is rostered on duty but cannot perform that duty, but produces a
      satisfactory replacement, then the rostered member receives the points for   
      the duty.  However, if that member competes, then he/she receives points
      only for racing.
(b)  Rostered member shall not get more than the rostered points if a
      replacement does the duty and the rostered member races.
(c)  A member volunteering to do a duty does not remove the responsibility of still
      doing their rostered duty or of arranging a replacement for it.

      7.  If classes are combined on club days, the points shall be separated  after race 
           day and readjusted on a heat by heat basis for championship tally as if they were
           running separate classes.

      8.  If only 1 nomination is received for a class that cannot be combined with another,
           the driver receives maximum points.

      9.  Club day griding.
                              Heat 1 - ballot
                                     Heat 2 – reverse ballot
                                     Heat 3 – leaders to front
                                     Heat 4 – leaders to front

     10.  289 point system.

     11.  If a member officiates at more than one club day throughout the year, points will
            only  be  received  for the  first  meeting.   However  volunteers  are  greatfully
            accepted.

     12.  No club day can be postponed, abandoned or cancelled by officials before set
            time of officials briefing.

     13.  All licenced  drivers will be rostered as club officials, except for midgets and
            rookies.

BUNBURY CITY KART CLUB INCORPORATED PRACTICE RULES
AS OF 28th JANUARY 2011

  1. Protective clothing must be worn at all times;
  • Long Pants
  • Long Sleeve Jumper or Shirt
  • Shoes
  • Gloves
  • Helmet (full face)

2.  No refuelling or oiling chain on grids.

      3.  Karts to be in correct age group only;
                       Midget/Rookie    7 – 12             White plate
                       Junior               12 –16             White plate
                       Senior              16  and Over   Yellow plate
     
      4.  Drivers are only allowed to practice in equipment that they, at their age, would be eligible  
           to race.

      5.  Karts must go out through out grid and in through in grid.

      6.  Registered karts must not go out with hire karts.

      7.  Practice sessions to be in 10 minute blocks only.

      8.  Last to leave must close and lock all gates and toilets.

           ALL RULES WILL BE ENFORCED.  PENALTIES WILL BE:

  • 1st Offence – key confiscated from key holder for 3 months.
  • 2nd Offence – key confiscated from key holder and banned from practice and test sessions for 3 months.
  • 3rd Offence – key confiscated from key holder and banned from practice and test sessions for 12 months.
